Transition Visits at Little Climber

At Little Climbers, we offer three transition visits to help your child settle in comfortably and confidently. These visits are an important part of getting to know your child and building a strong foundation for their time with us.

During the transition visits, we focus on:

Helping your child become familiar with the environment, routines, and teachers

Learning about your child’s interests, daily routines, and personality

Understanding your aspirations for your child’s learning journey

Building trusting relationships between whānau and teachers

These visits support a smooth and positive transition from home to preschool, ensuring your child feels safe, secure, and ready to learn.

Transition to school

At Little Climbers, our Transition to School Programme is designed to support children as they prepare for the next big step in their learning journey. 

We focus on building key skills such as independence, early literacy and numeracy, social confidence, and a love for learning.

Through fun, structured activities and routines, we help children develop the confidence and readiness they need to thrive in a school environment — all while nurturing their curiosity and individuality.

We work closely with families to ensure each child feels prepared, supported, and excited about starting school.
